Placing liquid products, including foundation, concealer, and mascara in separate zip-lock bags will help to minimise the risk of them damaging your other possessions should they explode whilst moving house.
Additionally, because face powders, including bronzers, blushes, and eyeshadow pallettes are delicate and susceptible to smashing, they will also need to be placed in zip-lock bags as an extra precaution.
By packing your makeup essentials ahead of time, you will ensure that nothing you need on an immediate basis will be stuck in boxes and difficult to locate.
5. Pack Makeup & Makeup Brushes
Once you’ve added the liquids and powders into zip-lock bags, it’s time to pack the rest of your makeup as well as your makeup brushes.
From travel makeup cases to spare toiletries bags, there are many storage solutions that work for makeup collections, so what you pack your makeup in is entirely up to you.
You will also want to store your makeup brushes in a separate bag or in a makeup brush organiser.
Once you’ve got your makeup collection packed and ready, you will need to add the bags to a box filled with a bed of packing paper.
If there’s any space leftover in the box, be sure to fill the space with more packing paper, as this will help to protect your makeup by absorbing some of the shock during transit.
6. Label The Boxes
Last, but not least, you will need to clearly label the boxes.
Depending on where you store your makeup, you might label the box ‘Bathroom’, ‘Bedroom’, or ‘Dressing Room’.
This will help to indicate to the removal men exactly where you want your makeup stored.
