One of the key differences in self-storage and containerised storage is the way in which you access your items. When choosing containerised storage the company will usually load your items into wooden containers and then transport them via their vehicles to their storage unit. Here they will store your belongings safely and securely and when you are ready to get your belongings back simply book in an appointment and await your delivery. However, with self-storage, you would be expected to take your own belongings to the unit and you can come and go as you please.
Surveillance
Possibly the most important difference between the two types of storage facilities and that is security. Most storage facilities do tend to be pretty secure anyway but there are some differences. You can often expect self-storage facilities to be outside and on show to the public with many people walking in and out all day every day. However, when it comes to containerised storage, these facilities tend to be locked and often concealed. No one will have access to containerised storage facilities other than employees.
