The main difference in self-storage and containerised storage is the access and process of storing your belongings. With self-storage, you would be expected to take your own belongings to the unit and you can come and go as you please. However, with containerised, we will load your belongings into wooden containers and then onto our lorry with a forklift. We will then drive to our facility and seal them where they will then be locked up and secure. When you are ready to have your belongings back you simply book an appointment with us and we will deliver your belongings back to you, whether that be in your old place or new home. We will unpack everything for you.
Security
One of the main benefits of using a contained storage facility is the secure location. However, there is one very important difference in self-storage and containerised storage when it comes to security. And that’s all to do with the situation, you can often expect self-storage facilities to be outside and on show with people often around accessing their units. However, our containerised units are locked securely in our compound where no one will be able to see them or have access, other than our team.
